The GMC Sierra 1500 is stylish and capable half-ton ute. It also offers comfortable and quiet cabin combined with the great all-around nature and mix of the rich trims. Like its corporate twin, the Silverado 1500, this truck underwent a thorough redesign for the 2014 model but was also updated for the 2016 model year. The 2017 model added low-speed automatic braking, a driver monitor system and active grille shutters.
After Ford has again updated its best-selling F-150 adding also the diesel engine option, GM is also expected to respond but it would likely happen for the 2019 model year. In the meantime, the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 could bring a new styling package and some feature updates in order to stay interesting before the more substantial upgrade.
2018 GMC Sierra 1500: Styling, Configurations
The Sierra 1500 is better-looking GM’s truck version than the Silverado 1500 which is a better seller. For the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, some sources claim that new styling theme and color options could be added to the already broad range of customization options. The trim lineup will include the base, SLE, SLT and top of the range Denali. The Denali luxury trim will feature unique grille design combined with more brightwork, specific 20-inch wheels, power-deployable side steps and more.
