2019 Jeep Scrambler – Big comeback
A long-rumored and eagerly awaited Wrangler-based pickup truck will be another model to join as the 2019 version. For this truck model Jeep will revive the Scrambler nameplate which the brand used for pickup model based on the long wheelbase of the Jeep CJ-7. This model was introduced in 1981 and new Jeep’s pickup truck version comes as the 2019 Jeep Scrambler.
Thanks to recently leaked details, we know that new Scrambler comes in the 4-door body style only. What we should also expect are two engine options. The model will be powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar engine by default. Jeep will also offer a 3.0-liter oil burner engine but won’t offer this model with the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol which should be an option for the new Wrangler SUV. What we also know is the towing limit of 6, 500 pounds and max payload of 1, 400 pounds.
On the other hand, the model should have about 33 inches longer frame than the Wrangler in order to accommodate the cargo bed. The model will get both hard and soft top options while the hard top will have a three-piece removable design. The front-end styling and cabin design will be pretty much like the Wrangler four-door version while the difference will make the cargo bed.
The new Jeep Scrambler will likely arrive sometime in 2019. An estimated price is around $35k.
