2019 Ford F-150 Hybrid – Is this possible?
In any truck list, the best-selling Ford F-150 must have its place. This highly profitable full-size light-duty truck was recently refreshed for the 2018 model year. With fresh styling and reworked engine range, this model is ready to dominate in the future. Ford even introduced a new 3.0-liter turbo diesel V-6 engine to bolster its position.
So, in upcoming model years Ford won’t likely come with radical changes in styling and engine range but what Blue Oval brad promised is the hybrid version of its best-selling model. The hybrid version is expected by 2020 and in some scenarios.
Details about the hybrid powertrain are now the matter speculations as Ford hasn’t revealed much of its hybrid strategy. Ford would use the two-motor hybrid system as rumors suggesting and could use a four-cylinder turbocharged engine instead of the V-6 unit. The Ford will likely choose the smallest displacement of the combustion engine as possible. However, the combined output will surely provide rapid acceleration and respectable towing capacity.
