2019 RAM 1500 comes with a full redesign
The 2019 model year will also bring the fully redesigned 2019 Ram 1500 which is currently one of the oldest designs in the class but still among favorite models. The new-generation Ram 1500 will likely debut at the next Detroit Auto Show and price should stay close to the current.
As for the changes, the new Ram 1500 will introduce some notable styling modifications, especially on its front side. The model will get slimmer crosshair grille version combined with the new square shaped headlights. The new headlights units will also include new LED elements and seem to take a higher position on model’s face. The new version will also get a more sculpted hood and front bumper but we will also see some changes in model’s profile bodywork. Ram will likely stay dedicated to the steel structure while will get upgraded chassis and will retain coil-spring suspension.
Inside, the model will feature similar layout but will get a large Uconnect display and revised HVAC controls.
In the engine department, we expect similar options. The large percent of the current sales go on the Hemi engine, so we should expect a 5.7-liter V-8 unit again. There will also be a 3.6-liter V-6 but possibly with added direct injection for more power and better fuel economy. We will also see the continuation of the 8-speed automatic transmission and turbodiesel engine.
