2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4: Design
To go on the off-road adventures in style, the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 comes with the unique styling treatment while sharing high-performance and light-weight construction with the rest of the lineup and closely relative Chevy Silverado.
The AT4 gets the unique dark-themed exterior style and off-road enhancements which also affect the way it looks. The model benefits from the factory-integrated, 2-inch suspension lift and important for the off-roading are all-terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch machined aluminum wheels adorned with dark and grey accents.
The AT4 distinguishes itself further with unique, dark-finish, radiator grille and monochromatic exterior. The sharp, high intensity LED headlights with C-shaped pieces contribute also to model’s aggressive appearance. The off-road Sierra has also the fog lights with tinted black chrome bezels. The red tow hooks and AT4 badging are also part of the model’s identity.
The rear of the model is defined with attractive taillights and dual exhaust setup while the multipro tailgate is also the part of the deal.
The Sierra AT4 gets also special attention inside the cabin. The dark theme dominates again and combined with the high-comfort and tech features.

2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4: Powertrains
The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 will be available with three powertrain options. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 engine unit with dynamic fuel management technology. The engine will deliver 355 hp and 383 pound-feet of torque. It will come in the combination with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Sierra AT4 will also offer an optional 6.2-liter V-8 paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine boosts performance to 420 hp and torque to 460 pound-feet.
There will be another option in the form of the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine. The oil burner will produce 277 hp and peak torque of 460 pound-feet from just 1500 rpm. In the pair with this engine will be a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
The AT4 will also equip the four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case by default. Improving the off-road capability will also be Rancho shocks combined with a 2-inch suspension lift, all-terrain tires, skid plates, recovery hooks, traction control system and hill descent control.
