The all-new 2022 Ford F-150 EV has been confirmed for the next year, and we can expect a complete revamp. Blue Oval recently revealed that the EV model would be more modern and unique than the regular one. Interestingly, we just got some of the photos, and we must admit, the upcoming EV model differs in many things from the standard one.
First of all, it seems dimensionally the same, but many visual refreshments are present. For example, the front fascia is different, featuring a complete closed-off grille, and reworked lower fascia. Generally, considering that this is an electric version, there is no need for additional cooling. The manufacturer also claims that the entry-level model should provide at least 200 miles on a full charge. As for the towing capacity, we expect the EV half-ton pickup to at least match the PowerBoost model’s 12,000-pound-plus tow rating.

On top of that, LED headlights featuring the same shape as the regular model, with subtle modifications on the lower fascia.
Stunning Cabin With More Luxury
The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-150 EV pickup truck will bring a completely new cabin to match Tesla Cybertruck, and Rivian R1T models. From what we heard, the electric version will host a modern and upscale interior. However, don’t expect the same luxury that Tesla provides, but it should be close enough to be competitive.
The layout will probably be unchanged, and we can expect the same spacious cabin, as in the regular pickup. Of course, one should be able to found out more amenities and luxury on the upper trims.
2022 Ford F-150 EV Battery Capacity and Range
The new 2022 Ford F-150 EV from early reports will sport motors at each axle and a vast range of batteries. The entry-level model should provide at least 200 miles on a full charge. However, from what we heard, upper trims might deploy the same battery as the Rivian R1. Thanks to a 180-kWh battery pack, this model can travel about 400 miles with a single charge.
Alongside the electric version, Blue Oval will also introduce PowerBoost gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain. Ford claims that this model will combine a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine integrated with a 35-kW electric motor. Also, they confirmed that this version would be paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Release Date and Price
The brand-new 2022 Ford F-150 EV will arrive at some point next year, alongside all models. Reportedly, the electric F-150 might start at little less than Tesla’s Cybertruck.
This model cost $39,000, and can pass the $60,000 mark depending on battery packages. Generally, this is a great plan to conquer the market. Rivian R1T pickup that is in the same segment starts at $70,000, while GMC Hummer EV costs much above.
